White Horse Theatre Visits Our School
On 15 June, our school had the pleasure of yet again welcoming the White Horse Theatre, whose talented actors performed two engaging plays in English for our students. The Year 5 classes enjoyed Tiger of the Seas, an entertaining adventure full of excitement, and humour. The students especially enjoyed the interaction with the actors, which even included one of their teachers having to go on stage.
The Year 7 classes watched Sticks and Stones, a thought-provoking play about friendship, bullying and the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. The realistic storyline and convincing performances encouraged the students to reflect on these important issues and provided plenty of ideas for further discussion in class.
An all time students’ favourite is the discussion round at the end of the performance during which the students can ask the actors questions about themselves and the play.
We would like to thank the White Horse Theatre for an inspiring and memorable day, which proved again that learning English can be both educational and entertaining. We are already looking forward to welcoming them back to our school next school year!
Our special thanks go to Collin Ross and the “Technik AG” for their technical support as well as to the “Kantinenverein” for providing for our guests so kindly.
